Parenting Programs

Parenting isn’t easy, but you don’t have to go it alone. We offer a variety of free programs to support Rowan County, NC, parents, guardians, child caregivers, and soon-to-be parents.

We provide information that will help you give your child or children a good start in life, while getting more of the child behaviors you want and less of the ones you don’t. Individuals should contact Margaret Stridick at Margaret@terriehesscac.org or call/text 704.431.2015 to schedule a session.

Community organizations may request any of our programs, or information about them, to be presented at your facility. Please contact Margaret Stridick at Margaret@terriehesscac.org or call/text 704-431-2015 to schedule an information session, a seminar presentation, or a group class.

All programs are available in person or via Zoom; phone call follow-ups are available.

About the Facilitator

Margaret Stridick is enjoying her second career as a parenting educator. She is originally from New Jersey, where she worked in accounting and administration while earning her Psychology degree from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

Noticing how few programs exist to help expectant parents prepare for parenthood motivated her to obtain her Master’s in Human Development and Family Science at East Carolina University. There, she developed When Baby’s Home and Baby’s Home Now and began receiving training and accreditation to facilitate 10 levels of the evidence-based Triple P – Positive Parenting Program. She is one of the most active Triple P providers in North Carolina.
